china & taiwan banned once again
« on: April 07, 2008, 07:47:00 AM »
it is simply impossible to deal with these idiots im sorry,.. they can manipulate their IP to anything they want it seems, there is no telling if they have multis or not sometimes, i just seen this thread from chinese forum it was posted by certain username which is member of my site, but in the chinese forum he had another made account which he was getting referrals to under completely different username and IP addresses!!

this is it, china you blew it and all other webmasters you should follow suit you are GETTING ROBBED BLIND!!  >:( >:(

sites like bux.to and adbux have brought this disaster upon ptc since the beginning, allowing chinese to multiply into the ptc world like bunnies ,  if other foolish site owners would have banned off china as they come long ago there would not be this epidemic that we have today

its over china & taiwan

never again are you welcome on my site.

That just reminds me an "interview" that could be added to the "funnies" board (quote):

Quote
Recently it has become increasingly noticeable that a large number of PT sites are changing their terms and conditions to ban whole nations on the grounds that they get more cheaters from them. In the past we have only seen small PTR sites banning countries such as China who not only banned them for having more cheaters but refused to give a reason why on their website.

We at UrOnlineBiz do not condone this way of doing business as we feel it’s unfair on those who don’t cheat in with a country that gets banned for this reason. We happen to know there are plenty of ways to deal with cheaters and that it just requires a little bit of effort into preventing it. We too have had our fair share of cheaters and only prevented it by putting in the little effort and time it took to fix. If we had of chosen to ban the country the cheater came from we would have no doubt damaged our reputation and traffic.

We spoke to the Debbie who administrates our most trusted PTC site bux.to about this matter as they accept all nations and are still able to operate with minimal loses from cheaters.

UOB: I would first like to ask how does Bux.to deal with cheaters from around the world?

Debbie:

a) There are two groups of cheaters. The real ones which are harming and damaging the business. They are getting blocked/banned.

b) They family/people in relation. They are just trying to make a little more. May they are in need. They are getting banned if there is a real overuse via multiple accounts and so on.

Bear in mind each case is reviewed individually.

UOB: What is it that enables you to accept all other countries while other sites have to ban whole nations to avoid cheaters because of stats regarding a certain nation?

Debbie:

You cannot ban whole nations. Of course we understand if there are more people in need or financial trouble there is a higher risk that people are cheating.

UOB: We noticed in the past when reviewing some small PTR sites we found that they banned counties such as china for example and refused to give a reason. What are your views as to why they do business this way? Would you say it's a political thing?

Debbie:

China is a big country with a huge potential for business but also has a lot problems and many people in need. You cannot generalize because a few Chinese are cheating to block the whole nation. We have excellent contact and reliable members all over the globe. It is not fair and from my feeling racialist to ban whole nations.

UOB: We understand it's hard to give away any information as to how you deal with cheaters due to the fact that you don't want to give them tips on how to avoid detection but is there one set method that is unbeatable? Or are there weak points to any method?

Debbie:

Mostly they are caught by human reviewing. This is very time consuming. We also use other techniques and software to track them.

UOB: How much money would you say has been cheated out of the Bux.to website from people trying to get around the system?

Debbie:

In relation to the volume we handle not much. Less than 1%

UOB: What kinds of things do these cheaters do when they are caught? What methods have they used to cheat the system?

Debbie:

They use a wide range of techniques. I can assure you all are traceable. In 100 cheaters 1 may luckily get paid undetected.

UOB: According to your terms page cheaters who are caught will have their accounts deleted without notice and little discussion as to why is then involved in the case. Is there no follow up to a cheater being caught for fraud? Is there any authority you report this illegal activity to?

Debbie:

Right now the damage/lost is not enough to follow up or to pass this to authorities.

There you have it, 1% is on average the % these websites are hanging onto by banning whole counties. We thank Debbie for taking the time to talk to us about this issue as this shows us the reasons for banning whole nations isn’t as valid as whose who work to that rule say. If Bux.to being the most popular PTC site can handle a global traffic storm with little problem from cheaters why can’t the smaller sites do so too? This question goes out to these websites that stick with this seemingly unnecessary rule.

LMAO  :D  ;D  :P  ::)

That is funny ;D ;D ;D

Exactly the kind of answers one could expect debbie to give.

leave all the cheats until they reach payout then delete the top one and it clears hundreds of extra little cheats and bots to sell :D

I have to agree with "debbie" guys. I don't know about you guys, but I don't have a cynical and immature look at less fortunate countries.
Blocking 1/5 of the planet is pure stupidity. Besides, you have to understand that bux.to's sales are in very high % of profit for everything. That is why the bot loss would be sow low. Before I had any protection on my site, I would say that only around 20% of the payouts made were to potential cheaters.

I don't know if I can be a part of this forum if their is such blatant racism towards Asia. I mean, you don't even say cheaters, you just assume it is china and Taiwan. How can you expect to be more "mature" and "adult" than ptctalk if you allow such distasteful things to be said here? Besides it makes me look like I agree with the opinions so boldly expressed. :-[

I know what I will do about it ;)
