Advertising on PTC sites with links and banners (Tactic- 1)
This is a highly targeted method. This works great for PTCs but you have to
spend money to advertise individually in each PTC site manually for your
each affiliate site. Link advertising is too much cost in some popular PTCs.
Tell friends and family (Tactic- 2)
Well, this is not a hard thing. You can easily get referrals by telling and
asking your friends and family or co-workers or any body else who you
know. Just tell them about the PTC site you use and let them know about the
entire process from clicking to getting paid. But in this way you get limited
referrals.
Traffic Exchanges Programs (Tactic- 3)
You can use traffic exchange sites like www.easyhits4u.com. This works
great, you will get referrals guarantee, but you will have to spend more and
more time, at least 1 or 2 hours daily.
Referral Exchanges Programs (Tactic- 4)
You can use referral exchange sites like www.downlinerefs.com and
www.getref.com . This works great, you will get referrals guarantee, but you
have to spend more and more time, at least 1 or 2 hours daily.
Purchase Referrals (Tactic- 5)
Purchase referrals from PTC sites is very good, but no guarantee of active
referrals and not all PTCs offers this (most sites offer only rented referrals).
Social Bookmarking (Tactic- 6)
You can use your social bookmarking account on Orkut (www.orkut.com),
Facebook (www.facebook.com) and Tweeter (www.tweeter.com) to make
new friends and by sending your PTC referral links or your website address
to them, you can get your direct referrals.
Make your very own e-book (Tactic- 7)
This is a small little tactic, but can still work. Make your very own ebook.
Make it based on something like ----- How I got my ps3 in less than a week-
----- Talk all about points2shop and how it works, slip in your referral link at
the top, and the bottom of the ebook. Now sense you have an ebook, you can
list it to the large amount of ebook sites. That's it.
E-Mail Auto Responses (Tactic-
If you use hotmail, yahoo, or gmail, you can set auto responses. Whenever
someone messages you, it will auto response. Its called a "vacation
response". Set the response as your referral link and explain it. If you use
emailing heavily, this is a really good tactic.
Itunes Reviews (Tactic- 9)
Go to itunes store and look at the popular list or the top 10 music list. Find
the number one downloaded song. Write a review for it saying something
like ------ This is a pretty good song, but I bailed on buying itunes gift cards,
Now i get them for free from (Your masked referral link) ------ You can do
this think for any type of review, and its a very good tactic for referrals.
discussions.apple.com (Tactic- 10)
Go to http://discussions.apple.com and sign up. Once you register, post
around saying something like you can get free iPod touch cleaners here “ref
link”. Make sure to make it related to the topic though. If it says where can I
get cheap headphones, don’t say go here for a free iPod touch. Take the time
to read the post. Another good place is http://forums.macrumors.com/ same
as the above forum, sign up, etc.
eBay Review (Tactic- 11)
Go on eBay and find the popular game/console/gift card that’s popular at the
time. So write a review saying, why would you buy this for $_.__ when you
can get it for free at (Your masked referral link) ------ You can do this think
for any type of review, and its a very good tactic for referrals.
dealextreme.com (Tactic- 12)
This method was in front of our eyes the entire time. Go on dealextreme.com
and find a gaming object that is bought a lot. Let’s use a Xbox hard drive.
Post a review that sound like a review but is really subliminal as above. Let
me show you;
Pros: This item is a good durable must need piece for an Xbox. It ha enough
storage to last for ages.
Cons: Package came slightly ripped (to make look like a real review) why
would you pay that much when you can get it for free at _____.____?
Bottom line: I don’t understand why anybody buys these anymore because
of that site that gives them out for free
ebgames.com (Tactic- 13)
www.ebgames.com, go write a review on a popular game and write “These
games are way too overpriced I like them free at ___. Very easy but I get
good results form this one.

Search about new gaming news and write about how you can get it for free.
celebrityrush.com (Tactic- 17)
This is a site all about celebrity gossip, news, and more. Find popular videos
about up to date celebrity news and post something like--- I practically am a
celebrity cause I just get free prizes or some money when I need it here

talk-gaming.com (Tactic- 18)
This is another forums. Post a thread saying "giving out xbox live 48 hour
codes "In the body of the thread write pm me and you might get it ill have to
choose who gets them. I have 4 left. Then you will get a load of messages.
Respond to each of them saying, sorry im out of them. But I got them for
free from points2shop. You just complete a few surveys. Heres the link

Many ways to get referrals on this site, either from the forum, to
commenting on videos, to writing reviews on games saying they can get
them free. You can even write a cheat for a game and at the bottom say you
got it free from points2shop (Your referral link)
ourfavoritewebsites.com (Tactic- 20)
This is a website where people submit their favorite and best videos, pictures
and websites. Simply submit your referral link and have the title be
something like -----How I get my free prizes daily----.
sitesforteachers.com (Tactic- 21)
When you are at sites for teachers you can add your own site. Add
points2shop. Say ---- A fun assignment, let your students and their parents
complete a few surveys and they can win a prize!---- teachers will see that
and kids that are online will see that. They will definitly be interested. Have
the link to the site be your referral link (masked) Remask your referral link
to be something like do not use shortened links / prize for students or something like that. It
might not get a ton of referrals but can bring in a few.

Create an account on www.newyorkjobs.com
You will then create a "job".
Here is an example. I suggest you do not use the same example I am giving
you, because you will not get refs then.

The site is www.vinefire.com. You simply add a link and you get hits on it.
The link appears to remain on the first page for about 3 minutes. You can't
keep adding the same link over and over, so what I do is mask the ref link
over and over. This will you get you fast referrals if you keep adding your
link. Good luck!
joystiq.com (Tactic- 24)
This is a gaming blog. They update nearly every hour, and so many people
comment. Comment the blog (Make it look real), and near the end bring in
your site and add your MASKED ref link.
This works, and has gotten me several refs. BUT MAKE IT LOOK REAL.
Don't just spam your ref link everywhere. Take the time and comment the
blog, and then go into your ref link.
xat.com, icq.com (Tactic- 25)
Post in LIVE chat rooms. http://www.xat.com. This site has MANY chat
rooms. Find the most popular one, start a conversation, for example, "Who
here likes video games", talk with that person, until you get to the point and
say "These games are overpriced, you should try ______.com"
Another site you can try is ICQ.com (No you do not need to download the
messenger. Somewhere on the site they have chat rooms. They also say how
many people are in each of them. They have a room called "Teens". You
will attract the most attention here, because these are kids between 13- 19..
These kids LOVE video games!
big-boards.com (Tactic- 26)
This site has a list of the worlds biggest forums. Try joining some and
becoming a trustworthy member. Add a signature, saying " I got FREE
Xbox 360 games from _______". Don't go spamming these boards, because
I can guarantee you an instant ban.
redflagdeals.com, cheapassgamer.com (Tactic- 27)
These are sites in which people post the best deals on video games. Your
best bet is to find an awesome deal on Redflagdeals and try to incorporate
your ref link within the post. Cheapassgamer also has a ref section, where
you can make ONE topic on your ref link. (Think you have to be a member
for 30 days to post in that section). Both these sites are good, and have
gotten me several referrals in the past.
commonsensemedia.org (Tactic- 28)
This is a website where you can write reviews on movies, video games, and
websites. Find popular movies, games, websites and post a review. Write
various reviews saying you can get this video games, movies, or website
hosting for free from (Your referral link. Pretty simple and shouldn't take
much time.
gamerankings.com (Tactic- 29)
Go to http://www.gamerankings.com/ and sign up and post a review. Similar
to the first tactic.
fukung.net (Tactic- 30)
go to fukung.net, you can buy advertisement for your website pretty cheap.
If you don't want to do that, take a picture with your ref link/website and
submit it to them, random people will see it and sign up.
fmylife.com (Tactic- 31)
Go to fmylife.com and think of a funny story that people will like. At the
end put your ref link. But not all FML's are submitted so leave comments
instead. (Moderately though). Post something like, I know how to make your
day better, go to "ref link/website".
answerbag.com, answer.com (Tactic- 32)
Go to http://www.answerbag.com/categories, sign up. Once done, post a
question and put your ref link. It’s similar to yahoo answers, but specifically
for cars. So you can answer questions, and maybe once you solve their
problem say you can go here “ref link” if you still need car wax. Stuff like
that, pretty simple.
forums.paintball.com (Tactic- 33)
Go to http://forums.paintball.com/ and sign up. This is a site only for
paintball stuff, so don’t post about Xbox’s and ****. Once signed up, talk
about paintball’s and such, so that you become somewhat trusted. Then tell
people “you can get free paintball gear (guns, paint balls, grenades) at ref
link/website”.
photoshopforums.com (Tactic- 34)
Go to www.photoshopforums.com/ and sign up. Once you register, try and
find posts/threads about where you can get Photoshop for free legally or
cheap. Tell them about R1 or whatever and say that you can get it here “ref
link” for free, and it is 100% legal.
cellphoneforums.net (Tactic- 35)
Go to http://cellphoneforums.net/index.php and sign up. Find threads about
where I can get a phone free or really cheap. Tell them about R1 or whatever
you use and say you can get this phone free at “ref link”, yes it is 100%
legal.
Make your torrent download (Tactic- 36)
Step 1
Download uTorrent software for free
Step 2
After installing Utorrnet open it up and look for the "Add torrent button
which can be found on the left. Now click on your movie which should
include your ref link (use tinylink) and a description about your site which
you can do by just using movie maker...
Step 3
Sign up to www.isohunt.com and upload your torrent to their site and leave
Utorrent running for a day Intel more then 20 people have downloaded your
torrent. Now hopefully if your film is very new you should get about 10,000
downloads on that video that means 10,000 views on your referral link and
probably more if other torrent sites use it.
I have tested this method and it has worked very well and got me about
4,000 referrals from just 2 videos.
sports.yahoo.com (Tactic- 37)
This site talks ALL about sports news and such. Find a popular news articles
(EXAMPLE: http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/bal...urn=nba,166571)
for example a team loses, you can comment on it saying something like "I
won't stop rooting for you guys! I get (THE TEAM YOUR POSTING
ABOUT) jerseys for free from (Your referral link) You guys our the best!"
ehow.com, tricklife.com (Tactic- 38)
Comment on certian how-to articals. Say something related to them for
example, if the video is how to hack WOW accounts, comment on it saying
something like --- You can get free 1 month WOW subscriptions for free
from points2shop... (YOUR REFERRAL LINK) You can also use the basic
tactic of making a how-to artical of how to get free prizes.
myspace.com (Not the basic tactic) (Tactic- 39)
This tactic may be VERY AFFECTIVE or could not work very well. Make a
myspace account and have your name be something like "Get an xbox, wii,
or ps3 for free!" Now you have to make it look like its an account you
actually put effort into. Put a layout on the profile. Put info on how it works
on your profile. Along with putting you referral link about 2 times around
the profile. IT SHOULD BE MASKED! I reccomend tu.nu
Now you want to invite a good amount of friends. Invite some popular
people too, like souljaboy. It will show up on their friends myspace walls
saying "***** invited soulja boy" for example. Sense your name is Get an
xbox, wii, or ps3 for free! the people who look at their myspace wall will
most likely click your username and go to your profile. Hopefully they
become your referral!
rubiks.com (Tactic- 40)
www.rubiks.com/Forum.aspx. This is the rubixs cube forum. Either make a
post saying you can get free rubixs cube at points2shop, (YOUR
REFERRAL LINK) But make sure you tell how the site works. You can
also just talk around the forum and post but have your signature be
something like "Free rubixs cubes for all at (Your referral link).
dealspl.us/cheap-deals (Tactic- 41)
A website helping people find cheap deals on things. Post a "deal" talking
about how you can get free prizes. You can get you some good referrals.
You see, there are 100s of PTCs, PTRs, Forums, Traffic Exchanges,
Surveys, Blogs and lot of sites with 500K+ impressions. Millions of
members in these sites are like you in PTC business. This is a goldmine!
You will get tons of referrals, instantly, daily….. So many new members are
joining these sites daily. This is very helpful to sites like Neobux and other
PTCs also.
All the above methods work great for getting referrals and most of them
need more and more time and efforts. I tried most of the above methods and
got some referrals. But doing all those things manually is exhausting and
very time consuming.

I’d like to comment on some of your tactics…

Tactic 1
It is a good method but you have to be careful or you might lose more money than those you will make from your referrals.
First of all, you have to be sure that you advertise referral links of websites that will remain active for years and will not close the next month or so.
Secondly, you have to buy cheap ads from websites that you are sure that real people are clicking, not bots.
Spend very small amounts of money in order to test the responsiveness you get from the members of a website.

Tactic 2
I never liked the idea of bugging all those people you refer to. I actually find it a bad idea and from people that tried this tactic, I know that they had very poor results. Most people are not finding the idea of clicking for less than a penny fascinating…

Tactic 3
By experience I know that Traffic Exchanges and PTC do not work together. There is also a topic about this in this forum at http://www.talkptc.com/index.php?topic=46946.0

Tactic 5
Buying or renting referrals can make you or burn you. It is a game that few know how to play and most lose money from it. There is a lot of controversy on this matter and many believe that most of these referrals are actually bots controlled by the admins. Tactic 7
Seems too complicated to me and too much work and I don’t think it will work. Why would anyone download an e-book about this topic anyway?

Tactic 8
Be very careful with this! Some PTCs consider this to be spam! The safe way is to create a blog with your referral links and use the link of that blog instead.

Tactic 9 – 22
Right now I understand that you don’t talk only about PTC referrals but about referrals in general because all the things that you say have nothing to do with referring people to PTCs (and you are a little bit off topic because this is under the “PTC Discussion” category of the forum). All those tactics are grey or black hat and all of them will get you banned if you post your referral links directly even if they are masked like you pointed out so many times! Masked links DO pass data to the owners of the websites you promote. The safest way to get some referrals from those pages is to send that traffic to a page you own that has your referral link in it and got approved by the owner of the offer you promote.
