ok i have taken email activation off again

so it did say "sent" and it did not say anything like there is an error and to email administrator to verify manually?

Yes, it said that the activation code was "sent" and to check my e-mail address.  Nothing was mentioned about errors or e-mailing the administrator to complete a manual verification.
