Title: Should I be dissapointed?
Post by: Founder on February 29, 2008, 03:43:38 AM
Well I purchased a set of referrals on one site Im not sure if I should be dissapointed because I paid around $16 for a pack of 15 refs. Let me know what you all think. Out of 15 referrals only 6 are active  :(. This is the first time I have bought referrals from a site, because usually I advertise my ref link. Im not sure if this is normally how ref packs are? Here are the stats:

It seems to be standard amongst PTC sites that you get many inactive referrals.

This is why I try not to buy referrals, and if I do, I'll buy from sites where:

1.  They're very cheap(ie: $18 for 25, or $12 for 15 or even cheaper)

2.  The site guarantees them to be active(they've clicked before they're sold).

3.  The site offers an exchange program for inactives.

referrals should at the most be 50 cents a piece....any site that charges more than that are complete crooks in my mind,..and they should be not be running ptc sites....they are as good as criminals to me....

and its highway robbery

edit: for the fact of paypal fees in some instances ,..i would say 75 cents at the most

Ok I just checked, the price is exactly $16.50. Im going to try and see if they will allow me to exchange the ones with anything below 5 clicks. I will let you know how it goes.

Ok.

I still wouldn't pay more than $1 per referral, that's just too much.

Mine will go $12 for 15, minimum 2 clicks(or 5, I can't remember) before they're up for sale.

Good luck with trying to exchange them.

i sell mine for 18.50 for 25 all of them have to have at least 20 clicks, and be active before they are sold, and if you buy any that are inactive you can exchange them for 25 cents each.

plus you can see a list of every ref available for purchase

i personally think it should depend on the activity of the refs to how they are priced

i can get 25 referrals for every 25c- $1 i spend  most of the time. average of 75% being active from them as well,. so that is why i say what i say ;)

The only time I "buy" referrals is when it comes bundled with advertising.

Well I say refs over $10 and over $15 is not a great price, but supply and demand is always there.

Theres a special on all of JJ's ad only sites where for $2 you can get 50 referrals and a tonne of link credits. I bought two packs and out of 100 referrals only 1 is active. LMAO.
