I've got a question about ref links

I get why you don't allow ref links, so that people can't spam their links like crazy.  But I believe that it's better to sign up under someone who took the time to post their payment proofs and share their links than to sign up under no one.  I'm wondering if I'm allowed to start a thread to ask for a PTC buddy...basically I join one of their sites I'm not part of under them, and they do the same for me, and we both stay active.  Ref links exchanged over PMs not publicly.

I'm going to ask before I start posting haha they kept deleting my posts on mylot.

ref links are allowed on the referral boards,  post your offers and wait for other members to reply. please  do not pm offers to members if you have not been invited to pm them.
its up to you whether you reply on the board or in private
