trafficmonsoon ads infected with something?
« on: September 06, 2015, 09:22:02 PM »
Hi all, I recently signed up to TrafficMonsoon, and I sometimes get warnings from my antivirus that it has blocked a potential threat in some of their ads--some HTML: script-inf stuff...
It looks like it might be a false positive, but also that it should have been resolved time ago by new antivirus definitions, so I was wondering if anybody else had encountered the same problem...

Thanks for any info!

Tell us the name of the "potential threat".

Hi, sorry, I thought it was clear; avast says it blocked 'HTML:script-inf', but I can't seem to find any other info about the threat in the AV program itself.

I'm actually considering cancelling my registration: apart from the potential infection, I often get logged out right after watching an ad, which is then not credited, ads mysteriously expire right after I watch them but obviously before they get credited, etc...

I have been warned by DrWeb about "script.virus" these last 2 or 3 weeks but I don't know from what site it comes from, once I click many ads at the same time.

Mmm, good to know... I could try installing DrWeb myself and see if something comes up...
