What makes you join?
« on: February 17, 2012, 11:15:43 PM »
With so many PTC sites out there, what makes you decide to join a site? What are the key factors in deciding whether to register?

For all I first check the coherence, maths, ownership, script and other evident human behavior, speech and legality inside acceptable parameters.

CashOns: The owner (Ayman) shows honesty and commitment.
PTCBox: By owner of a long term site + click rates + design.
CashnHits: Design + showed a sustainable scheme (including marketing)
GPTPlanet: By owner of a long term site + click rates were better at that time than the old one.
ClixSense: click rates + long term + popularity
DonkeyMails: Long term - I had no good option when joined by the 2nd time.
ValePTR: iuliugdi pushed me in and instructed me how to earn + long term + high earnings. (registered for the 3rd time)
ClixTiply: Scheme, owner speech. After 1st po, stood there by Aurora's recommendation.
LeeMails: General recommendation, good rates in the beginning and I had nothing better at that time.
CashTream: Owner (from casnhits) - many ads, stable.
Neobux: Popularity, curiosity, design, few ads, paying for more than a year at that time.

And others by this way
But the most important is which sites I must stay away.

Buxhosts & nextgen: I am member of only one: clix21. Table shows instant payments but I am waiting for a week by now. Joined because owner is a member here and very active at that time. Buxhosts are always a problem.
In my blog there are the reasons that I consider to stay away from sites.

Because every site become scam more sooner than later,
I first think in why and which to stay away from.

1. the first thing to attract is the script and design of a site,  it shows the admin cares and if a site looks good its easy to promote

2. sexy admins  ;D an admin needs to be active to make a site a success
check their history,  stay away from idiots.  if they already failed before then chances are they will never succeed

-Site is easy to navigate
It doesn`t load in ages . Who wan`t to stay on a website if it loads in 1 minute or 2 minutes. Suddenly they get bored.

-Content grouped logically
It is important to be easy for the user to find everything he needs on page also people don`t like scrooling. Also it is important to grouped your content because people don`t stay , usually, more then 30 sec. on page.

-Delivers the information expected
Such as earnings, payment, help services(contact form, forum, chat) .The service(because it is a service) must be transparent, no one likes surprises from ptc or any website except if the surprises have a value or money.

-Goal
This is important when you know nothing about the site . You analyze his content, what he is saying about advertisers and about members and what is he offering. To make this short , a website can`t survive whit out members or advertiser. If his goal is to please only advertisers then you shouldn`t be a members there because that implies they launched the website only to make money for them selfs. It is important for a ptc to be able to attract more members whit out exagerating.

-Design
In my opinion the design it represents the owner. Layouts fits well and the design is great or at least pleasant. It is good to look professional without blinding me.

-Give concise and timely help
It happen that you don`t understand some things, so, IT`s very important that they answer your emails promptly and kindly not after ten days (or never) and with that disgusted tone like 'who the f$^k are you to ask me questions'

-Compatibility
Website is compatible with major browsers.

-What google says
You know the answer to this one. If there are lots of complains there are lots of complainants so don`t bother .

Some how these things fits . Ex: Lets say they are not that transparent(don`t Delivers the information expected) and they hide certain things like payment details for example and you ask for help and contact them (don`t Give concise and timely help).
If they don`t answer you know what to do but if they answer and they give you dates and numbers (whit out specifying on their website the way they should) and i look into google and i find that they don`t pay or pay after many many MAANNYY months, the next thing i do is say 'bye bye'.
...and this is how I`m developing a habit - when they are hiding valuable info i`m staying away, i lost time before i`m not going to do it again.

thats it.

it`s quite the same thing. i join to stay ...it`s logic :D
It may seem allot when i write them but in real time it only takes about 5 minutes, maybe 10 to decide if i join or not.

My key factors:
-Design
-Forum (site with active forum)
-Click rate (i ignore sites that pay more than $0,01 per click)
-payout minimum
-payment processing (alertpay or paypal)
-how long they have been online and are they paying on time?
 ;)

I have to agree with some opinions above. One more factor to add:

- free hotdogs.  ;D
