5 non-spam posts to post a blog.  Introduction, Referral exchange & referral deal posts are not counted.  So, It will make members to wait.
Regarding banning someone, Talkptc gives more chances.  That was/is good for newbies like me.

is this hard rule , other forums ask for more
gptforum limits your ability to use pm till you reach some post counts
ems asks for 20 post or more before you can see the downline builder

so why should talkptc change
for me as a member i don't like to see this forum full with spam
cancel the 5 posts rule and next minute you will see million spammer here
what makes talkptc special , is the type and quality for posts
in other forums you can see lots of members getting post counts just by saying congrats

so i don't think the 5 post rule is strict
maybe i'm missing some point
which members can explain to me much better
thanks  :)

Talkptc filters scammers and spammers.  Unlike ems, Talkptc does not have a member who made more than 1000 posts except one.
Whereas in ems, a few going to reach 100,000.

Next minute 60 seconds = 1,000,000 spammers. :o

Excuse me

:D

It's like discussion or business.  I accept any result.

If it is 5 non-spam rule, either bye-bye at 0 posts or 6 posts and bye bye.
If the rule is removed,  ::)   Can't say what will occur.
May be we can make a test for few weeks by announcing it.

I think even before that rule was implemented I think it had the same results. People would come and spam their links and then never come back, the only difference since we implemented the rule is that we've been removing their links.

As for the number of posts, I was just reading a thread at ems and I feel i'm wasting my time there sifting through the tonnes of posts just to find one post that is relevant to the topic.

My conclusion is that the 5 post rule isn't that hard. It takes at most 10 minutes of your time to get affiliated with a few parts of the forum and if you don't like it then you don't come back, it's a simple as that.

Quality over Quantity

Rules changed:

As of now posts made in introductions and referal boards will add to post count

the downline builder and blog board are very prone to spammers, they will remain as they are now, 5 post minimum to start a topic. 5 posts is very easy to reach and a lot less than required on most forums

referal board rules updated:
as a test the 1 thread per topic starter has been removed.

Spammers gonna spam at any cost.  These rules not gonna affect them.  Nobody should be compelled to speak.  Let them speak if they like.
so you think ppl should be able to advertise without first getting to know the forums? I think your wacked in the head

Most of the spammers that post here don't actually write anything for our forum.  They have a list of pre-made posts including their referral links, so they just copy&paste.

They do not read or write English very well, that's why they never read the rules or make any quality posts.  The rules are fine, its just our visitors can't make heads-or-tails of the English language (the language this forum is in, exclusively)

We don't need to change the rules because the people who these rules truly affect won't even know we changed the rules.  If we get rid of a post minimum, we will still get the same level of junk and junk members.
