Title: What is needed to start own site?
Post by: erru9107 on January 06, 2020, 06:12:06 PM
So, I've got this great idea for a completely sustainable PTC website but I have absolutely no idea how to create one. I've got all the details worked out like memberships, prices for ads and so on. All I need is basically a "how to" guide that is up to date (which most guides I've found aren't).

1) What do I need?
2) How do I get it?
3) How much do I have to expect to pay? Not a starting capital, simply to get a site up and running, no more and no less.

The more information the better, thanks in advance :)

I suggest that you use W3Schools or stackoverflow for help. You have all you need online, but you have to understand.

I do have my own PTC, (With just html + javascript) so it isn't hard.

I do know quite a bit about html (been building websites for some time) but when it comes to Java I'm completely lost. I did find an already made php script that was free and open source so basically a decent foundation. But as I've said, I haven't got a clue what to do with any of it...

If you don't mind me asking, which ptc is it you own? Have you built it all from scratch or have you purchased any script or template?

Been doing some research and from what I can tell, all I need is:
1) Domain
2) Script
3) Host

Pretty much all of that can be purchased for somewhat reasonable amounts. Where I plan to host, it'll cost about $2.50/month (on startup) and I can also buy my domain for $11.50/year. A script (if I decide on evolution which I like) would cost $45 for the first 6 months, just to get things going.

So just to get up and running for the first month would cost $59 and then $2.50 for the next 5 months.

Is that all I need or am I missing something?

you can try https://www.evolutionscript.com (https://www.evolutionscript.com)
PREMIUM
$189 USD
Lifetime License
Valid lifetime
*Unlimited domain switching
Community access

suggest : price for advertising is 3x click user
example : perclick for user 0.01 so for advertise is 0.01 x 3x (1000 credit) = $30 for 1000 credit
payout for user : $0 instant
no ads admin.

Yeah well, before I commit to a lifetime license I really want to see how things are working out for me.

I already have all the different click rates and such figured out. My site is gonna be different from most other sites when it comes to a lot of things, but I'm not gonna be talking about that right now. All I really need to know is if I'm correct with what's needed to start and to figure out how much it would cost.

Again, not really what I asked for. I've got everything except the technical side of things sorted out! To make things clear:

1) Everything about the websites structure has been decided, i.e. ad pricing, click values, ref commissions, memberships and so on.

2) Depending on the answers I get on a few questions from the Evolution script support, I'm most likely gonna be using them.

3) The domain name and where to host the website has been decided!

So what I need to know now is:

What do I need except a script, a domain name and a host? This is simply to get the website up and running at minimum capacity, some functionality querks will be figured out during the first month of testing. The payment processor will be sorted out later on, I'm not planning on relseasing the site to the public before most of the issues has been sorted out and the site runs somewhat smooth.

I think that I've got most things covered when it comes to what I need to get started. But now I have another question for people who already have starteda GPT/PTC.

I'm planning on integrating offerwalls. So I wonder, how does that actually work?
I've looked at a few and AdscendMedia seems like one of the better. I'm most likely gonna use quite a few of these, but how does it actually work? How much do you as site owner earn for each completed task?Is it a strict amount for each task or is it based on a % commission? And also, how are these earnings paid?

Any and all information is much appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

I understood next to nothing of what you said.

I've been looking at surveys as well and at least for Pollfish I know how it works and how I'm going to implement it.

Website is still in the research/planning stages so I feel that when I finally launch, it's gonna be great!

What are you going on about? Have I said something that you don't like or what? All I'm trying to do here is figure out everything I need to know about starting a site. And also what I need to know to get an offerwall up and running. Not really sure how you think that your comments are helping... There's no need to tell me how much things cost, I just want to know what is needed and some basic information.

I have been involved with PTC sites for 5.5 years. I have had to close my site 3 times and start from scratch.

First time was a hacker that totally destroyed my script. It had nothing but error messages and destroyed database.

Second time was the host was terrible. Not only that he got my
Login info and stole money from me. I had to get off his host but
I couldn't transfer the site because it was all installed by the script
Owner and he was out if business. I ended up with evolution script
On GoDaddy hosting.

This new site with Evolution and GoDaddy worked well for 3 years but the evolution guy would keep updating his script. I never updated mine because I didn't want to and was afraid if I made a
Mistake it would cause lots if damage. 3 years later his new designs were probably incompatible with what I had. I had 3.2 he
Had 5.7. But it worked great if I kept PTP version the same. But then one day my site said invalid licensce even though I had just
Payed my license fee. He charges $45 every 6 months. So I contacted him and he said all is well with my license but he changed servers us why my site was invalid. He won't give support
With a site that isn't updated to newest version and his support us
Only a month or so. He told me he would upgrade my site for me.
I told him my site was old script and I was worried about it being
Compatible but he just totally ignored me. I had him upgrade it
And it worked for about 6 months. Then one day I looked at the site
And it was a blank page. I checked my database and it was empty
And a pop-up window came up that said the database had crashed.
This was because the PHP was incompatible but he didn't care.

I had to but a new version from him and he didn't give credit for
What I had already spent. Plus the new version was jam packed
Full if errors. He expected you to report all bugs to him while he
Did nothing for you unless you paid a big chunk of cash

I would not recommend evolution script because my dealing with them was he treats good paying customers like trash he only wants
To gouge you for money. Also evolution script is full of autoclickers
And duplicate accounts. For instance my site was Donkeymails
Approved and their PTP script can tell what is proxy and non unique
Traffic and won't count it. It would say I had 70 a day which was real
People but my daily ad stats in the evolution script stats would say
550 clicks. That's how bad it was. About 7 autoclick to 1 real click.

But. To answer your question you are gonna need unlimited data
Storage because your site good grow big

I recommend Aurora Coderz. You can get one year hosting for $50
Which works out to $4.20 a month. You can get the script setup
For $5.00 but have to pay $5.00 a month to keep the script.

Aurora Coderz script seems to not have autoclickers either. I look
At my Donkeymails stats and it says 50 and my adstats in the
Script also say 50. I mean that's great. I used to really hate my advertisers getting ripped off from autoclickers. Not the case
With Aurora Coderz.

You also need a domain name. You can probably get a new .info
Cheap at GoDaddy or namecheap.

Aurora Coderz also has offerwall coding built in. You only need to
Add your info instead of uploading the scripts. Evolution Script
Gonna charge you like $50 for each one.

Like I said he will gouge you.
