Hi, On this site someone told me that people aren't employees at a PTC site so I was wondering if the same applies to affiliates in an affiliate program?. For example someone gets payed $5 when their referral upgrades for $10. I want to be good with the law. I'm making a site that is like a banner exchange. Thanks.

Thanks.typically affiliates are never considered to be employees... so you can not legally advertise or even imply any type of "job" or "employment" offer or mention a wage or paycheck beforeaccepting any application or sign-up ... EVER! Must only refer toas an opportunity to earn income in the form of PROFITS.and income opportunities usually require some form of disclosureof minimum, maximum and average or typical earnings levels...to comply with governmental regulations in the jurisdictions of the US, Canada and most other countries.
