When you have a blog or website promoting your PTC banner or referral link . sometimes when they click a banner or referral link it opens in the same window. here how it works!

this is the html code that opens a in new tab or new window
target="_blank" (it opens in a new tab)
target="_new" (it opens in a new window)

for a banner
<a href="your ptc referral link/?ref=yourusername" ><img src="your ptc referral image link"></a>

inserting html code to a banner it goes like this...

<a href="your ptc referral link/?ref=yourusername" target="_blank"><img src="your ptc referral image link"></a>

or

<a href="your ptc referral link/?ref=yourusername" target="_new"><img src="your ptc referral image link"></a>

to a referral link
<a href="your ptc referral link/?ref=yourusername" target="_blank">
or
<a href="your ptc referral link/?ref=yourusername" target="_new">

this code helps you to open in a new tab or new window without disturbing your current page

 :)

If you have a chance to look at the analytics of your affiliate link try using a url builder like the one google provides :http://www.google.com/support/analytics/bin/answer.py?answer=55578

If you cant use it for your affiliate link just use it for links your personal site or just anything you can look at the traffic analytics. I do it all the time for my site and I watch where my traffic comes from and try to increase it there or do the same else where.

I tried but the time of permanence in my site decreased.
(Talking about spam blogs)
It takes a precious time and bw to load.

This alerted me to this problem and I started to use my own banners,
with reduced sizes, instead of the original when they are heavy.
