Why would someone use these sites instead of searching directly in google?

well using regular Google uses more energy since the monitor pixels are on. and on a blank black screen the pixels are like on stand by using less energy and on a darker screen your eyes rest. and using a white screen your eyes start hurting after a while and you get tired.

It might let your eyes rest, but when you do a search the link color is green.. Which hurts a little my eyes :p lol.

Light blue, white and green.. The link shouldn't be so green. Perhaps a darker green would be better. :p

Nice try.
Try again.
