mosy are not. They are just a form of a ponzi scam  no one can guarentee returns that they offerring  they do it over the internet so as to avoid sec and other reulators.  If people stop investing? in them then they will fail.. Remember Bernie Madoff(withyou money) he too offerred amazing rate of return, just ask some of his investors what they ended up with in the end.
