i`ve read in the LR blog that they are under atack every day by the DDoS.
after i`ve read the article i try to acces my altergold account and even this it says:

"Dear Customer,

We regret to inform you that the AlterGold website is currently under DDOS attack at this moment.

All efforts are in place to bring the site back online as soon as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this interruption to service.

Regards,
AlterGold Management"

P.S: what is DDoS anyway?

tnks. i think is the most "inteligent" way to make a service to fail. my question is why do they do it?

who will earn if a program fail , so who will earn if a altergold fail or even liberty reserve fail, beside the other payment processors? is it someoane else who will earn something from all of this if a service fail to respond to real members? or this is just happening cuz the hacker want to have some fun ?

@montan

they attacks to stop altergold are probably made as stalky said hired guns lol the reasons are clear take for example if someone has a famous company take microsoft for example and you came and made a new Operating system better than microsoft of similar to it

wont microsoft feel threatened? they will do anything to stop you to remove you from the competion and thats whats happening to altergold you never know it could be paypal, alertpay, e-gold.......competitors

I am trying to find out how a DDos works and how to create one against a site would be fun doing to a ptc that scams stop it or maybe a hyip ;)

i used to know of some tools, that i guess would sort of mimic a Ddos attack, the tool would take large images and invisibly load them onto the selected website repeatedly non stop thus wasting all the sites bandwidth, i could use this tool because i have unlimited bandwidth usage for my internet service.

the desired effect would be constantly using the tool 24 hours night and day until the bandwidth is exceeded and they go bankrupt and cant afford to keep upping their hosting......
