I have a history. And an indication.

1- Blogspot deleted my blog, well known behavior.

2- Next step was a free host: Webstarts. Wonderful. One month later, they cut the ability of editing html. Just another con. Bye.

3- Then, GPTEngine. He suddenly, without notice or refund just closed his hosting service. Then, few weeks later returned with his promotions like nothing had happened. Sad but true.

4- GoingHost, a cheap hosting - Also gone but offered refund for the costumers.
Technical problems made him give up but warned everybody and refunded.

5- Elicitservers is fading among excuses, problems and tons of tickets (he alleges having 200-300 costumers -angry costumers). A new host with very low prices; probably lost interest.

6- Today I started with Studyhost, on line at least since 2008. A good start. I paid +- $10.50 for 1 year hosting (£6.49 GBP).
The site is clear and easy to find things when you have your site down and is in a hurry to put it up and running. But what surprised me was how fast they answered my questions. It was almost like a chat via e-mail.
The replies came in less than one minute since the start. Answers were clear and concise, with links.
In less than half an hour I was uploading my files and, as name servers updated almost immediately, the site started running.

Yesterday night, when I noticed the site down, I contacted 8 hosting companies.
3 replied many hours later with those standard and useless messages.
1 prepared an invoice of 0,99 via AlertPay. Useless, since AP needs at least $1. A terrible mistake.
No answer from the remaining 4.

I don't know about the future but I feel this may be good for our blogs nowadays.

This got my interests ,mostly because is true, but at the end i was hopping for something good for ptc hosting.

I made a free site there years ago and it is still there.
I updated today - papaimark.unlimitedtree.
They say that paid hosting is "coming" for more than a year by now.

I see that is an old story, but I would be glad if we can discuss it.

I sent mass emails about hosting service close as now, also written in site news which shown on homepage, so never "just" close server from a day to an another.

Unfortunately that time WHMCS do not log mass emails, so I can not check that you received the email or not.

About refund, of course you need to ask it, as I can not check every site and hosting on the server, also do not know that maybe someone close his/her payment processor account and use a different, or sold the site so I need to refund someone else, if he/she also paid for hosting etc...

But of course, if you wish I could refund even now, such a long time after it!

About the refund. I asked for a refund and they refunded my money. I had no problem with that.

Yeah , i know that felling . I think the most frustrating or at least controversial thing online is to find a proper and serious host.
