You have to give AlertPay some credit, they try and prevent fraud way more than PayPal does. They actually protect the business owner.

PayPal is simply awful, I have lost so much money to people doing charge backs, disputes or unauthorized transactions.

i give alertpay a lot of credit, they are good, fast to responds and i like how they are limiting people, especially owners with unverified accounts.  ;D

they already have a very good system,
the personal accounts have limits of $400 a month with a max of $2000 a year.
They really only need to change the system so anyone with a pro or business account has to be verified.

i agree owners need to be protected from a lot of stupid chargebacks but just sometimes a member can have a good reason for a chargeback and they need protection too. maybe that is something alertpay could work on :D

I agree with you buddy,why on earth does PayPal and AlertPay not require a user to verify themselves right when they sign up, before they are even able to use their account. Would cut down on so much fraud it would be awesome for business owners.

As for AlertPay, nope there is no way to see if they are verified unfortunately.
my god they might as well plaster on their homepage:

WELCOME ABOARD FRAUD ARTISTS AND CHILDREN SCAMMERS!  >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

I made a suggestion on AlertPay's forum ... check out the response thus far  ;D  :D  ::)http://dev.alertpay.com/forums/t/635.aspx

The reason Stalky want AlertPay account to be verified is good,
as that can prevent underage person to touch it.
But PayPal is different.
You can verify your account by adding US Bank or Credits Card,
which is harder for even adult of non-US residents.
I'm one of the unverified PayPal user which already over 18.
