oh now you see the truth
LoL I always imagined the second picture
I realize that I might be stating the obvious here ... too bad. In the seven or so months that I was actively involved with PTC sites, there was way too much drama that unfolded. The PTC "industry" is very much like the casino industry. When you walk into the casino on any given day and decide that you are going to play a little poker, a little blackjack, a little roulette, and 10 different slot machines, none of those so called "diversification" decisions improve your odds of leaving the casino a winner one single bit ... in fact those decisions increase the odds that you will leave a loser! The PTC "industry" is very much like a casino where most participants will lose.Of course, there are several things in life that can be likened to gambling/casinos. Think about it though ... in the casino industry, the casinos are the ones who get rich! In addition, it's nearly impossible to police all of the scams no matter how hard we try. Here's another thing: How broke do we all have to be to consider participating in PTC sites? I mean ... roughly 1 cent per click about 10 times a day (on average for one site) ... that's ~$3 a month, and there might be more available ads to click. In order to make it a few cents more than that, you need to work your butt off to get referrals and possibly apply some marketing knowledge, set up newsletters, set up a website, blog your socks off, post on forums, promote with a vengeance, etc. and for what? Alternatively, you could gamble your money away on referrals and upgrades in the hope that you'll recoup your original "investment". Oh yeah ... you could also open up your own casino of a PTC site and have sponsored ads with your referral link for other sites. Personally, if I work that much and want to see results that are worth it, why would I use all marketing knowledge and resources just to earn maybe a few gallons of gas for my car PER MONTH? Wouldn't it make much better sense to go ahead and promote something that is worth my time and effort? I'm just thinking aloud here. Quote from: Twystedi think if there was no risk there would be alot less ppl doing ptcQuote from: lewiit all depends on what knowledge you have to be able to promote something else worthwhilethere is alot of scams your right but its people like us that police them and save a small proportion of people falling into the trap...making some extra cash is a big bonus for some people even if it does only pay for a few gallons of gas but over time that ads up to alot of hours less you have worked or alot more cash you have in your pocketthere is bigger money out there but its finding it thats the problem and also keeping that income steadyyou know with a ptc site if its not a scam about how much your going to earn were as with a product or something you need to sell you dont know as you dont know if you will sell any or if you will sell 100 in a monthi personally dont like paid to click sites and run one because i saw the market had potential still and i knew i could run one and hopefully successfully.Quote from: BRLQuote from: lewiit all depends on what knowledge you haveI agree to that part. When I first started on PTC, I invested a lot of money, bought refs, premiums, and every little thing that was for sale. Now, nearly half a year later, I'm still trying to get back my investment (LOL) (Well, LOL and sad but true).People should know that almost all current PTC programs are unsustainable or will turn into scam, and that's a fact that time is proving. So, the most important thing, as I see it, is get as much information as possible, and use the common sense and just a little bit of mathematics to find out which programs could be viable, reliable and profitable. On the other hand, you can always promote scams, get lots of refs for new sites... And only "hope" to get some good results by doing that.About the casinos... They don't run away, they don't have to, actually: people are just too stupid or too lazy to use mathematic systems for those games where you can make profit. But, even so, there's no system for coinmachines and the 0 (french roulette) or double 0 (american roulette) give the casino a higher percentage of favorable probabilities.Anyway... There's no profit for those who never try or risk. Quote from: Rich GreenbackForgive me for my tirade/rant. There's the saying that "hindsight is always 20/20". After having been involved in another unique and lucrative realm of the online advertising sector (not Google AdWords, ClickBank, surf sites, nor any other traditional online advertising/marketing/promotional programs), it's easy to look back and say that PTC sites were frivolous. However, it's not always what you know but who you know. In this respect, being involved in PTC sites proved to be a stepping stone more than anything else. Fortunately, we don't always have to risk money in order to gain something of value. Quote from: BRLAbout the casinos... They don't run away, they don't have to, actuallyMy initial analogy may have come across the wrong way. I meant to suggest that, just as the casinos are the ones getting rich, admins (like Bilawal/oxi, Eric/iCashout, etc.) are making out like bandits ... in a literal sense too of course.
