The website that I purchased it from did not state that it was a nulled copy nor did they mention at any point during the sales transaction that the site was running on a nulled script.

So what do I do now? From what I understand, you're an expert in this stuff. Are there legal entities that I can go to to report this and get my money back?

I can remove the signup button to prevent more people from joining. When the paid ads run out, I'll pay off the current members and shut it down.

But in the mean time, I'd appreciate your recommendation of what I should do on a legal standpoint.

I assure you, that he won't refund you your money. But, you can purchase the script, or just keep it nulled. The chances of getting caught are slim to none. Many sites used nulled scripts. Best of luck with your site!

I assure you, that he won't refund you your money. But, you can purchase the script, or just keep it nulled. The chances of getting caught are slim to none. Many sites used nulled scripts. Best of luck with your site!

why would you sit there and lie to this person for? you can get into serious trouble for running a nulled script.
